2024 Projects (8 projects)

Anandam Chennai

HSOC supported Anandam to continue to provide support for 110 elders at Anandam, Chennai. The project aimed to provide good food, comfortable shelter, new good clothes, medicines and hospitalization for the elders in the Home at Kallikuppam, Ambattur, Chennai. HSOC helped to provide healthy, comfortable, decent living condition for elders.

Community Health Education Society (CHES)

HSOC supported CHES to provide support for 35 AIDS orphans. This year, HSOC supported CHES to provide grocery, medicines, medical tests, etc. and also sanitary napkins, tooth paste, brush, Dettol, phenyl, gloves, etc. Children also got their Anitretroviral drugs and OI management free from the government.

Udhavum Ullangal

HSOC worked with Udhavum Ullangal to provide care at the Nellai Cancer Care Center. HSOC helped Udhavum Ullangal to conduct roughly 100 camps for both cancer awareness and cancer screening from 1st April 2024 (it will last until 31st March 2025) covering Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Tuticorin districts.

Ramakrishna Mission, Haridwar

HSOC supported Ramakrishna (RK) Mission, Haridwar, Uttarkhand (also called Sevashrama) to provide ongoing support for the TB eradication programme in the 190-bed charitable hospital of the Sevashrama. The project was to provide medical services to poor people with a focus on prevention, education, consultation and treatment

Ramakrishna Mission, Kanpur

HSOC supported Ramakrishna (RK) Mission, Kanpur, to provide medicines to poor patients, eye operation to two needy patients and to provide eye glasses to poor patients at the eye camp at R.K.M Kanpur. R.K.M, Kanpur also ran medical camps at R.K.M Kanpur, Raghavendra Ashrama (Behta village) and also for the Group D staff at IIT Kanpur

Ramakrishna Mission,
New Delhi

HSOC provided support for Ramakrishna (RK) Mission, Delhi to run the Mobile Medical Unit of the Medical Centre operated by R.K. Mission, Delhi. The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Center at Karol Bagh, Delhi provides highly subsidized outpatient services as well as patient care in poverty ridden areas in the vicinity of Delhi through its Mobile Medical Unit

Ramana Sunritya Aalaya (RASA), Chennai

HSOC provided support for RASA towards Project "Uddharana" , at Chennai. The project provided inputs in Theatre Arts for 12 adults with differing abilities and prepared them for a performance at the end of the project. These activities are designed to address independence goals such as improving attention span, group cohesiveness, expression of emotions, social behavior, etc. considering the specific needs of the participants

Chinmaya Mission, Chennai

HSOC provided support for Chinmaya Mission, Chennai in 2024. The Chinmaya Vocational Training and Skill Development Program enables skill development for the rural high school students through vocational training free of cost. The pilot project focusses on the empowerment of 24 students with vocational skills to operate both wood turning late and medium duty metal lathe machines.
